Well hello!

My name is Danny Ho, I was born in Phoenix, Arizona. I still live there today and I am currently attending Mesa Community College. I am working towards a associates degree in digital arts and possibly move on from there. My goal is to become a graphic designer with the full package.

My passion for graphic design started at a very young age. I would say I was probably around 12 or 13 years old when I first touched photoshop. I was starting to get into Japanese anime around that time, and so I browsed the web and ended up in a anime forum. While I was there, the images people were wearing on their profile caught my eye and learned these small images called avatars and signatures were made with photoshop. Fortunately my dad had photoshop on his computer.

At first I experimented on my own by mainly using the brushes and filters, then I found tutorials online. I loved making these cool little images using my favorite characters, I even ended up making some for those who wanted an image of their own. But I never thought I would ever go beyond making these small images.

I graduated from highschool, and it was time to start thinking about my future and career. By heart I am a video gamer, but I could never see myself creating a video game in any way or form. So I decided playing video games will always be a hobby of mine but never a career. I also felt that my family had expectations of me going into some part of the medical career and follow the footsteps of my cousin. Definitely not.

Graphic Design was my only career choice, no questions asked. My parents gave me their support, although my father thought graphic design was about creating computers... Long story short, I forgave him.

At this moment I only know how to use a couple of programs, but I hope all of this will change.

I have a Nikon D200 sitting in my room, I love taking pictures with it but that is all I know how to do. I hope that will change also.

On a more personal note:

I am Vietnamese.

My favorite food is sushi.

My dream is to visit Japan.

I have a dog named Dash.

I love to watch anime.

I visit the movie theaters almost every week during break.

My favorite drink is Dr. Pepper.

Linkin Park introduced me to the music I love and they are still my favorite band today.

But I still all genres of music, but country is on the shorter end of the stick.

One of my hobbies is that I record video game footage of myself playing, edit them and post them on youtube.
